What does “Tinto” really mean?
If you ask a Colombian what tinto is, you’ll rarely get a technical answer. For us, tinto is not just “black coffee.” It’s the word that carries stories of mornings at home, conversations on the street, or spontaneous invitations to share a moment. In Colombia, offering someone a tinto means more than pouring a drink — it’s a gesture of welcome, reconciliation, or simply a reason to sit together for a while.
This everyday ritual has shaped the rhythm of Colombian life for generations. The tinto is simple, humble, and yet deeply meaningful. It represents connection — with others, with tradition, and with the land that gives us coffee.

From Colombia to Europe
Tinto Coffee was born from a question: how can we bring this Colombian ritual to new places and new people? Living in Europe, we saw how coffee was already part of everyday life, yet often reduced to technique, machinery, or trends. We wanted to bring something different: a taste of culture, of stories, of human warmth.
Berlin became our starting point. A city where communities from around the world meet, a place where traditions are reinterpreted, and where people are curious about authenticity. Tinto Coffee arrived here not as a product to sell, but as an invitation to experience coffee in the Colombian way — as a bridge between people.
Why “Tinto Coffee Experience”?
We chose the name carefully. For us, Tinto is not a brand invention; it’s a word that already lives in the Colombian identity. Adding Coffee Experience was our way of saying: this is more than beans in a bag. It’s about inviting you to discover coffee as culture — the aromas, flavors, stories, and rituals that surround it.
With Tinto Coffee Experience, every bag carries not only specialty beans roasted in Berlin but also a narrative: of farmers, of regions, of ecosystems, and of the small daily rituals that transform coffee into something greater.
A Vision Beyond Coffee
Our vision looks further than the cup. Yes, we are passionate about specialty coffee, but our dream is bigger: to share Colombian culture, educate about origins and processes, and create meaningful experiences around coffee.
We believe coffee can be a starting point for conversation about sustainability, community, and identity. That’s why our first collection is inspired by Colombia’s natural parks and reserves, highlighting regions like Sumapaz, Las Hermosas, and the Inga community of Aponte, Nariño. Through them, we don’t just showcase flavors — we honor ecosystems, traditions, and resilience.
The future of Tinto will keep expanding in this direction: not only selling coffee but curating workshops, tastings, collaborations, and storytelling that connect people to the roots of Colombian coffee culture.
An Everyday Companion
At the heart of it all, Tinto Coffee is designed to be part of your everyday life. We want you to experience the same feeling a Colombian has when someone offers them a tinto: a sense of closeness, warmth, and belonging. Whether you prepare it as a pour-over in the morning, pull an espresso after lunch, or enjoy a French press with friends, our coffees are crafted to adapt to your moment.
Smooth, versatile, and full of character — they’re meant to become companions in your rituals, not just beverages.
