Origin & Terroir
This coffee is grown in the Las Hermosas natural reserve in the mountains of Tolima, an area known for its dramatic landscapes and rich biodiversity. Within this setting lies Finca Villa Esperanza, owned by Jailer Trujillo, who cultivates coffee at 1,800 meters above sea level. Benefiting from fertile volcanic soils and a temperate climate, his farm focuses on the Castillo varietal, producing coffees that reflect the vibrancy of Tolima’s terroir. Each cup embodies the dedication of Jailer and the natural wealth of a region where coffee and conservation meet.
Process & Roast
This lot is naturally processed, where the coffee beans dry inside the whole cherry, allowing sugars and flavors to concentrate in the seed. The drying phase lasts around 30 days on raised beds, with careful turning and hand selection to ensure quality. The result is a cup brimming with fruit-forward character, with expressive notes of cherry and peach balanced by caramel sweetness. Roasted to a light–medium profile, it preserves juiciness and brightness while offering a smooth, elegant finish.
